As a certified master trainer and instructor with quality experience in their specialized area, you will receive professional and personal perspectives through the trainings. Participants will receive individual certificates of completion or college credit, depending on course.
Early Childhood Education
Oregon early childhood educators who are interested in furthering their perspectives and knowledge or are in need of continuing professional development credits may sign-up for any of the following course available for distance learning.
Early Childhood Connections with Multi-Dimensional Lens: Mental Health, Trauma and Development
Training offers the development of perspective-taking while investigating mental health, trauma, and child development, cultivating a multi-dimensional lens through analytical discussion and activities. Attendees will be critically examining and constructing adaptable ways to support connections while evaluating the impact on developmental outcomes. We assess and elaborate concepts presented in relation to ECE and beyond. Perspective-taking activities are facilitated.
Parents as Partners: Creating Partnerships
This training offers space for analyzing and evaluating practice's of parent involvement in the educational setting. We will focus on preschool aged children and their families for 3 hours. Dimensions of family involvement, types of involvement and how that promotes and contributes to healthy relationships between child, family, home, school and community.
Learning & Growing in a Shared Space: Curriculum and Environment in Preschool
To examine and compare learning environments and curriculum to evaluate the impact on relationships, development, and culture. By applying and demonstrating knowledge and continuing to develop an awareness of issues related to culture and bias, we will explore the curriculum and environments. Participants will utilize acquired knowledge to investigate their own practice and build their own transformability and flexibility.
ECE Connections: Human Development
Training offers the development of perspective-taking while investigating child development through analytical discussion and activities. Attendees meet for 3-6 hours, critically examining and constructing adaptable ways to support connections while evaluating the impact on developmental outcomes.

This session is based on the growing knowledge about the negative impact of psychological trauma.
Service providers and agency leaders are anxious to implement trauma informed practices. Much of the conversation remains abstract, but as more becomes known about the application of trauma informed care, the service sector will benefit from practical and concrete example for implementation.
This is also an appropriate session for those who would like to personally gain more knowledge and become more informed about trauma informed care.
